Arsis Nova
El GRUPO VOCAL ARSIS NOVA de Mar del Plata surgió a fines de 1992, bajo la dirección de la Profesora Graciela Beatriz Véspoli.
En la temporada veraniega 1992/93 presentó los espectáculos “Según pasan los años” y “Alguien le dice al Tango ambos galardonados con los Premios Estrella de Mar, que anualmente otorga la Secretaría de Cultura del Partido de Gral Pueyrredón. En todos estos casos, con gran parte de los arreglos vocales realizados por el maestro Juan Carlos Cuacci, y con puesta en escena de Marta Sol Bendahan y Estela Maris.
En 1994 participó en el Festival Coral Internacional “Europa Cantat XII” desarrollado en Herning (Dinamarca) y además realizó presentaciones en París, Estocolmo y San Ciprián (Galicia).
En ese mismo año participó en el Festival Internacional “América Cantat II” que se llevó a cabo en Mar del Plata, con la presencia de los más destacados directores y coros de Argentina y Latinoamérica.
En el año 2000 el grupo participó por primera vez en una competición a nivel internacional: las “Primeras Olimpíadas Corales Linz 2000“ realizadas en julio en Austria donde obtuvo dos diplomas de oro y dos de plata. Asimismo brindó conciertos de gran trascendencia en Kematen (Austria) y en Trostberg (Alemania). Durante la temporada 2000/2001 presentó un espectáculo que llevó el mismo nombre de su CD, “Naturalmente”, y en la siguiente, el originalísimo “De buen humor”, dedicada a jazz y tango.
En los años 2002, 2004 y 2006 participó de los 3º, 4º y 5º Concurso de Interpretación Coral de Música Folklórica y Popular Sudamericana organizado por la AAMCANT –Asociación Argentina para la Música Coral “América Cantat”- que se desarrolló en la ciudad de La Plata, obteniendo siempre galardones por la excelencia de su interpretaciones. En 2003 presentó su disco “De todos mis amores”.
Dos veces consecutivas, en 2005 y 2006 se presentó con singular éxito en el Festival internacional “Cantapueblo” que anualmente se lleva a cabo en la ciudad de Mendoza. En el año 2009 ganó el Primer Premio en el Concurso Internacional de Grupos Vocales “Venado Uno” realizado en la
localidad de Venado Tuerto (Santa Fe). Durante la temporada 2010 presentó su tercera producción discográfica “Bajo un cielo de Tango” con la dirección de grabación del maestro Juan Carlos Cuacci.
En 2011 participó en el Festival Internacional Zango llevado a cabo en Haarlem (Holanda) y realizó presentaciones en Málaga, Betanzos y La Coruña (España).
Una vez más, recibió una nominación para el Premio Estrella de Mar en la temporada veraniega 2011-2012, como mejor grupo de Música Popular.
En el 2013 presentó su espectáculo “8 voces, 4 elementos” en el flamante espacio teatral Cuatro Elementos, y fue distinguido por su trayectoria en el honorable Concejo Deliberante de la ciudad.
En 2015 fue elegido para cerrar el espectáculo de la prestigiosa artista Elena Roger, cantando conjuntamente una despedida en idioma rapa nui (Isla de Pascua). En agosto nuevamente participó en el Concurso de Interpretación Coral de Música organizado por la AAMCANT obteniendo Medalla de Plata y Premio a la mejor interpretación de obra no impuesta.
En 2016 obtuvo un nuevo Premio Estrella de Mar, como mejor espectáculo musical marplatense, por su estreno de “Contra Viento y Marea”, última producción del conjunto.
A fines de ese mismo año realizó numerosas presentaciones dentro del Festival de Coros de Santa María (Brasil) cosechando las mejores críticas.
El año 2017 comenzó con una nueva nominación para el Premio Estrella de Mar, con su espectáculo Qué sencillo modo, dedicado íntegramente al folklore. Realizó presentaciones en Posadas, Alem y Santa Ana en la provincia de Misiones, nuevamente con un notable éxito. A fines de ese año salió a la luz su cuarta producción discográfica, con el mismo nombre del espectáculo.
En setiembre del 2018 Arsis Nova, participó en el 2do. Concurso Coral Mundial organizado por la fundación Interkultur, realizado en la Isla de Corfú (Grecia), donde obtuvo una medalla de Oro en la categoría Jazz y dos medallas de Plata en las categorías Folklore y Música Coral. Por otra parte, fue invitado por la comisión organizadora para cantar en el acto de apertura y en un concierto multitudinario que denominaron la Noche Pop. El grupo tuvo gran repercusión por su estilo interpretativo y la calidad de sus arreglos vocales.
En dicha gira, brindó un concierto didáctico sobre el “Tango” en la ciudad de El Cairo (Egipto), organizado por la Embajada Argentina en Egipto. También brindó un concierto en la ciudad de Atenas.
El Grupo Vocal Arsis Nova está integrado por Paula Visentín y Luciana Galera (sopranos), Graciela Véspoli (mezzo), Liliana Moreno (contralto), Juan Carlos Colombo, Adrián Baldoni (tenores), Juan Britos (barítono), Lucas Dominguez (bajo), siempre con la dirección de Graciela Véspoli. El grupo se completa con Daniela Carril y Vanina Villavicencio (Asistente general y técnico respectivamente.). Arsis Nova acaba de cumplir 27 años de labor ininterrumpida, con la misma energía y entusiasmo que solamente el amor por la música puede mantener.
GRUPO VOCAL ARSIS NOVA of Mar del Plata emerged at the end of 1992, under the direction of Professor
Graciela Beatriz Véspoli.
In the summer season 1992/93 they presented the shows "Según pasan los años" and "Alguien le dice al
Tango” both awarded with the Premio Estrella de Mar, delivered annually by the Secretary of Culture of the
Partido de Gral Pueyrredón. These shows featured vocal arrangements made by maestro Juan Carlos Cuacci, and staging by Marta Sol Bendahan and Estela Maris.
In 1994, they participated in the International Choral Festival "Europa Cantat XII" in Herning (Denmark) and made presentations in Paris, Stockholm and San Ciprián (Galicia). In that same year, they participated in the International Festival "America Cantat II" that took place in Mar del Plata, with the presence of the most outstanding directors and choirs of Argentina and Latin America.
In 2000, the group participated for the first time in an international competition: "1st Choir Olympics" held in July in Linz, Austria, where they won two Gold Diplomas and two Silver Diplomas. They also gave concerts of great importance in Kematen (Austria) and Trostberg (Germany).
During the 2000/2001 season presented a show that carried the same name of their CD, "Naturalmente" and in the following season, the very creative show "De Buen Humor", dedicated to jazz and tango.
In the years 2002, 2004 and 2006 they participated in the 3rd, 4th and 5th “Choral Interpretation Competition of Folk and Popular South American Music” organized by the AAMCANT -Association Argentina for Choral Music "America Cantat" - which was developed in the city of La Plata, always getting awards for the excellence of their performances. In 2003 they presented their CD "De todos mis amores".
Twice in succession, in 2005 and 2006 they performed with great success on the International Festival
"Cantapueblo" which is held annually in the city of Mendoza.
In 2009, they won the First Prize at the International Competition for Vocal Groups "Venado Uno" held in the town of Venado Tuerto (Santa Fe).
During the 2010 season, they presented their third CD "Bajo un cielo de Tango" with the recording direction
of maestro Juan Carlos Cuacci.
In 2011, they participated in the International Festival Zango held in Haarlem (Netherlands) and made
presentations in Malaga, Betanzos and La Coruna (Spain).
Again, they received a nomination for the “Premio Estrella de Mar” 2011-2012 summer season, as best group of Popular Music.
In 2013 they presented their show "8 Voces, 4 Elementos" at the new theater space “Cuatro Elementos” and were distinguished for their Career Path in the Honorable City Council of Mar del Plata.
In 2015, they were chosen to close the show of the prestigious artist Elena Roger, singing together a farewell in the language rapa nui (Easter Island). In August they again participated in the “Choral Interpretation Competition of Folk and Popular South American Music” organized by AAMCANT obtaining a Silver Medal and the Prize for the Best Interpretation of non-imposed work.
2016 began with a new Premio Estrella de Mar, as Best Musical Show in Mar del Plata, for their premiere
"Contra Viento y Marea", entirely dedicated to the authors Eladia Blazquez and Astor Piazzolla. Later this same year they made numerous presentations in the Festival of Choirs of Santa Maria (Brazil) garnering rave reviews.
The year 2017 began with a new nomination for the Premio Estrella de Mar, with their show “Qué sencillo
modo”, devoted entirely to folklore.
Last July they made presentations in Posadas, Alem and Santa Ana in the province of Misiones, again with
remarkable success.
In this year, they released their fourth CD, with the same name as the show, “Qué sencillo modo”
In September 2018, Arsis Nova participated in the 2nd. World Choral Competition organized by the Interkultur Foundation, held in Corfu (Greece), where they obtained a Gold medal in the Jazz category and two Silver medals in the Folklore and Choral Music categories. On the other hand, they were invited by the organizing commission to sing at the opening ceremony and in a mass concert of the Pop Night. The group had great repercussion for their interpretive style and the quality of their vocal arrangements.
On that tour, they gave a didactic concert about “Tango” in the city of Cairo (Egypt), organized by the
Argentine Embassy in Egypt. They also gave a concert in the city of Athens.
Grupo Vocal Arsis Nova is integrated by Paula Visentín, Luciana Galera (sopranos), Graciela Véspoli (mezzo), Lita Moreno (alto), Juan Carlos Colombo, Adrián Baldoni (tenors), Juan Britos (baritone) and Lucas Dominguez (bass), always under the baton of Graciela Véspoli. The group is completed with Daniela Carril and Vanina Villavicencio (general and technical assistant respectively).
Grupo Vocal Arsis Nova just turned 27 years of uninterrupted work, with the same energy and enthusiasm that only love for music can hold.
